Kazim Mohamed Ali
Executive Committee Member
"As a lawyer I tend to think a lot about what can go wrong in a transaction. I am also a passionate entrepreneur. Combining the entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude while ensuring things are done in a compliant way is challenging but can be very rewarding if done correctly. At Woodman, I am motivated by this combination, which enables us to achieve an enormously high level of effectiveness and professionalism."
Kazim began his career in finance at Credit Suisse’s Alternative Investment Legal Team, covering Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Insurance Linked Strategies and Energy Infrastructure Investments where he gained in-depth knowledge of alternative investments and helped to structure various funds. He then became the Head of Legal and Compliance at BlueOrchard (an impact investment firm), where he helped launch, inter alia, a Private Equity Impact Fund and worked on a UCITS Impact Bond Fund. Immediately prior to joining Woodman, Kazim worked as Legal Counsel at UBS Investment Bank covering Structured Products – gaining valuable experience in investment banking.
Kazim studied law at University of Zurich and King’s College London and passed the Bar Exam in Zurich.
